Meet the Team

Erin Catching


Dr. Catching is very excited to be joining the team at Grantline Veterinary Hospital as Co-Medical Director with Dr. Silva.

She has over 17 years of small animal practice experience. Ever since she was 12 years old, she knew she wanted to be a vet and care for baby animals. She grew up in Elk Grove and after graduating from Elk Grove High School she attended UC San Diego with a major in General Biology. She then completed her veterinary degree at UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. After graduating she completed a yearlong internship at a specialty and emergency clinic in the Bay Area. She then went on to practice at a very busy emergency and general practice hospital in Elk Grove, Ca. for 14 years and more recently at clinics in Sacramento.

Her special interests include preventative care, geriatric care, dermatology, nutrition, therapeutic LASER, and practicing low-stress handling. Dr. Catching is Fear Free Level 3 Certified. She especially loves puppy kisses. She has a super mutt named Rosie and a little rabbit named Scout. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, camping, visiting wineries, eating good cheese, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.

Leslie Silva


Dr. Leslie Silva grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she studied at SFSU and attended Veterinary School at Washington State University, graduating in 2002.

After graduation, she joined a 24hr emergency clinic in Elk Grove, where she worked for over 17 years. She now joins our team here at Grantline Veterinary Hospital as Co-Medical Director. She and Dr. Catching have been working together for over 17 years.

Dr. Silva will be offering both urgent care and general practice. In addition to wellness, she’s also certified with the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association. Her passion is to optimize wellness and help pets live longer, happier and healthier lives.

Dr. Silva’s special interests include senior care, soft tissue surgery and chiropractic. Outside of work, she and her dogs enjoy hiking and spending time on the river. She also enjoys international travel, river rafting and learning about different cultures and local ecologies.
