Teri Pate

We are excited to welcome Dr. Pate back to Elk Grove and to the Grantline Veterinary Hospital team!
Dr. Pate was inspired to pursue veterinary medicine by a small Dachshund she rescued. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from UC Davis in 1998. After completing an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA South Shore Animal Hospital in South Weymouth, Massachusetts, she practiced in Connecticut for a year before returning home to California.
For more than 20 years, Dr. Pate has been caring for pets throughout the Sacramento area. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and is certified by the International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care (IAAHPC) in hospice and palliative care.
Outside of work, Dr. Pate shares her home with multiple animals, many of whom have special needs—a reflection of her lifelong passion and dedication to helping animals.
